Looks like the fine folks at Zone 3 will be publishing my latest story, "Baby, It's You," a play on Jack and the Beanstalk, next year. It's from a collection in-progress I'm working on that takes old Appalachian Jack tales and recasts them in current day Appalachia. I hope y'all will read and dig it!  

Just got news that my short story, "The Lost Girls of Dirt City," has found a home at The Chattahoochee Review! Incredibly honored and excited to be in such a prestigious magazine. Look for it later this spring! (And huge thanks to the CR staff for choosing it!)

Two items:

1. Happy to announce that my reimagined Appalachian folktale "Catskins & the Boy-King" will be out in a special issue of Pleiades next year.
2. And just got word that the fine people at Washington Square Review have nominated my story, "Selections from the Infinite Casualty Lists," for a Pushcart Prize! 

Good way to end the year. Now back to work.
